USMNT World Cup prize money
The United States has earned $13 million at the World Cup so far by advancing to the knockout stage.
The team was set to receive $9 million just for participating in the Group Stage, making the nation’s return to the World Cup even more meaningful, but the win over Iran to advance to the Round of 16 earned U.S. soccer in additional $4 million.

A win over the Netherlands on Saturday would jump the United States’ prize total to $17 million.
Approximately half of the U.S. men’s World Cup prize money will go to the U.S. Women’s National Team. Each team will split 90% of their pooled total earnings from the 2022 and 2023 World Cups, according to US Soccer’s CBA (the remaining 10% goes to US Soccer).
That means the women’s team currently stands to earn about $5.85 million along with the men.

FIFA has set a prize pool of $440 million for the 2022 World Cup, but the money is spread between all participating teams. The champion will head home with $42 million.
